It is said that Cleopatra attributed the secret of her legendary beauty to the softening, soothing and moisturizing gel found within the heart of the leaf. The gel’s high content of compound sugars (polysaccharides) encourages water retention within the epidermis, promoting soft, smooth, comfortable skin.
