Seabuckthorn is a resistant pioneer plant that likes the sun. This shrub can tolerate extreme temperatures ranging from -45°F to 104°F. Regarded as an "ambassador of life,” seabuckthorn grows in nutrient-poor soil, as observed by the botanist W. Pelikan. Native to the temperate and hot regions of the northern hemisphere, as well as tropical Asia and Australia, seabuckthorn is now cultivated in various regions of the world. Its fruit is made into a juice, and also used in the production of oil.
