African ebony

Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a longstanding commitment at Clarins. That’s why we have always given priority to plant-based key ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. Our African ebony extract is organic* and obtained using a natural and environmentally-friendly extraction process. Because our commitment to responsible agriculture concerns both plants and the people who grow them, since 2015, Clarins has contributed to development projects In Burkina Faso through its African ebony supply chain, in partnership with Jardins du Monde. There are three types of fair trade initiatives in place: the construction of infrastructure and equipment, a food aid program to fight childhood hunger, and training programs working toward familiarizing local populations with the health benefits of medicinal plants.
