If you want to get the most out of your lip gloss, you’ll need to apply it properly. This means more than just swiping the applicator across your lips and going on your way. But the good news is proper application of our Lip Perfectors only takes four simple steps:
- Exfoliate: Use a lip scrub and gently swipe your lips. This removes the rough, chapped exterior and gives you a smooth lip surface to start working your magic.
- Moisturize: After your lip scrub, you’ll want to apply a clear lip balm to hydrate and moisturize. This step also helps your lip gloss stay put. If you’ve applied too much moisturizer, not a problem. Simply blot some away.
- Define: Now, you’ll need to use a lip pencil and define the outline of your lips. Color choice is important here. Choose a lip pencil as close to your lip’s natural shade as possible or slightly lighter than the color of your lip gloss. To draw, start at the middle of your lip and work outward. Do this for both the top and bottom lip.
- Apply: Finally, apply your lip gloss. Using the Lip Perfector angled cushion applicator, start in the center of your lip and swipe out to the edges. To really make your look pop, consider dabbing some concealer that’s a shade lighter than your skin tone to the outside of your lips. This will also help to prevent smudging.
