Cleansing 101
Most of us know that cleansing is the most important part of our skin care practice. After all, it loosens and removes dirt, debris, germs, and excess oils from the skin.
But there are many kinds of facial cleansers on the market, and using the wrong kind for your skin type can lead to dry or itchy skin, rough patches, and sometimes even a dull complexion – ultimately doing more harm than good.
So how do you know which skin cleanser is for you? The first step is defining your skin type. Is it normal? Oily? Dry? Or “combination” (meaning some areas are oily and others are not)? There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to skin care, so you’ll want to identify your skin type and find a mild facial cleanser that works with your skin type.
Normal or Combination Skin
If you have normal or combination skin, Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed eliminates dry skin cells, impurities, make-up, and excess oil without drying out your skin. A softening Coconut Extract nourishes and boosts the skin's radiance to leave you with a clean, soft, and hydrated complexion.
Dry Skin
If you suffer from dry skin, Clarins Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs is for you. It contains Bio-ecolia, which helps preserve the skin’s natural moisture, as well as Vitamins A and E, which work to improve your skin quality. You'll find you're able to purify your face without drying out your skin.
Oily or Combination Skin
Battling oily or combination skin? Clarins' One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is designed for you. Oily skin especially benefits from scrubbing dead skin cells away, and the Silica Microbeads and gentle facial cleansing agents work to thoroughly cleanse and renew your skin.
All Skin Types
A new trend has begun to emerge in the growing use of oil-based cleansers, which, when added to water, are proven to melt away excess oils and impurities in your skin. Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil cleans, nourishes and soothes the skin for optimal radiance and comfort.
Clarins Flash Tip
Follow up cleansing with a Clarins toner. They’re alcohol-free and help restore the skin’s pH balance.
